New York model Ataui Deng has vanished into thin air, and her family (including her aunt, Alek Wek) wants to know where she is.
The photogenic fashionista, went missing on August 6, Jezebel.com reports. According to the NYPD, she was last seen at a party before her mysterious disappearance.
Ataui’s friend Ajak Deng sent out a call for help on Instagram, writing:
“MISSING: My friend Ataui Deng has been missing for 10 days. She was last seen in the Lower East Side of New York City. She is 5 feet 10 inches tall and slim. If you see her please email FindAtaui@gmail.com. Thank you.”
The Village Voice reports that Ataui went missing around midnight, and her friend Grant Monohon was the last person to see her. He recalled that she was acting a little strangely that night, stating, “I walked outside with her. I gave her my keys, she didn’t want them. She’s just standing there. I was working, I had to go back inside.”

Just as this report went live, Grant announced on Instagram that Ataui had been found! “I am very happy to report that Ataui has been found. She is safe and sound,” he wrote. “I want to thank all of our friends and followers and especially the NYPD for their swift and dedicated response. 🙏. #FoundAtaui. Thanks again and much love.”
NBC News reports that she was found at a hospital in NYC. It’s not immediately clear where she’d been or how she’d ended up at the facility, but we’re glad that she’s safe.
