    Donnie Simpson “Rewind”

    Donnie Simpson is the ruling Washington DC radio icon as well as a television and movie personality. He hosted The Donnie Simpson Morning Show in Morning Drive for over 17 years. He was Billboard’s “1998 Air Personality of the Year”. He is also known by the nickname “Dr. Green Eyes” for his luminous light green eyes. Simpson began his career at age 15 at WJLB in Detroit, where he remained for eight years. In 1977 he relocated to Washington DC, where he began working at WRC-FM, known as “Disco 93.9“, now WKYS, as morning drive host and program director. Donnie’s star shone brightly as he maintained an incredible run of success on top of the Ratings throughout his tenure in Morning Drive Radio. No stranger to Radio One it’s an incredible honor to have a living legend back on the airwaves at WMMJ!

    Vic Jagger

    Born and raised in Washington, DC, Vic Jagger holds a Bachelor’s degree in Media Arts with a concentration in TV Production from the University of the District of Columbia. She began her radio career as an intern in 2002 with the nationally-syndicated Russ Parr Morning Show, and within a year, was hired as Assistant Producer and part-time Personality. In 2008, Vic Jagger became a full-time on-air talent with the morning show; creating popular character voices, parodies and giving her subjective opinions on trending topics and national headlines. Vic Jagger’s ambition has garnered her much success over the years; being named program & music director for Russ Parr’s syndicated weekend countdown show “On the Air”, numerous appearances on “NewsOne Now w/ Roland Martin”, as well as “The Vic Jagger Show” which aired Sundays on sister-station WYKS 93.9.

    After a 3-year hiatus from full-time radio, Vic Jagger rejoined The Russ Parr Morning Show as they made the switch to MAJIC. Within 9 months, Vic Jagger joined the MAJIC line-up with her own show, “VJ In The Midday”, which airs weekdays from 10am-3pm. ‘“Hello, Hello, HELLO!!!!” Known for ‘getting you thru the work day’, Vic Jagger has maintained the top spot for middays in the DMV as she provides the Midday Buzz, Grown Folk Convo, and the Happy Hour Mix. Her laugh and good energy are infectious and she enjoys spreading LOVE across the DMV with her midday check-ins. She has interviewed tons of celebs including Taraji P. Henson, John Legend, Tamia, Snoop Dogg, Maxwell, Jermaine Dupri, Ne-Yo, Charlie Wilson, BBD, Lalah Hathaway, Tamar Braxton, Angie Stone, Vivica Fox, Nene Leakes, Raheem DeVaughn, Rare Essence, and more. Vic Jagger has hosted major concerts and events including the RBRM Tour, Donnie Simpson’s 40th Anniversary, DC Lottery, and more.

    In 2017, Vic Jagger held a toiletry drive with her “Labor of Love Benefit Boxes” to assist those affected by Hurricane Harvey in Houston, TX. In addition to radio, Vic Jagger teamed up with NBC 4 Washington to host a weekly segment, “The Tuesday Trend”, with Leon Harris from 2017-18. She is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

    Vic Jagger continues to represent for her hometown and can be heard weekdays with the Russ Parr Morning Show from 6-10am and Middays 10a-3p for “VJ In The Midday”.

    Deja Perez

    Broadcast personality Deja Perez has worked in a variety of positions. Initially, she started as a part-timer in the research department. She went on to work as a board operator, then became part of the promotions department, and finally hit the airwaves as an on-air personality! Eventually taking a position with celebrated Radio One hip-hop giant, 100.3 The Beat. Before landing at DC-based 93.9 WKYS.

    During her tenure in Philly, the popular radio star was embraced by the city, particularly because of her strong commitment to eradicating domestic violence and working with juveniles. Diligent about her desire to help at-risk youths, Ms. Perez obtained a degree in Criminal Justice from Temple University.

    Her mercurial rise can be attributed to her dedication to excellence, combined with vibrant talent and a passionate drive to achieve.  With a Latina mother and an African American father, this New Jersey native celebrates her cultural diversity and believes that her family background has enabled her to relate to all people!  A world traveler, she has broadened her perspective of our planet

    Throughout her time at WKYS, Deja’s talents extend to doing voiceovers for local and national corporations including Ford Motor Company, Coca Cola, Macy’s and Shoppers Food Warehouse for all stations in the Radio-One cluster. Deja has found her true passion, the highly-rated daily entertainment report “What’s Poppin!” filled with celebrity gossip, scandals, and the latest news. She also hosts her self titled # 1-night show “Deja After Dark”, responsible for the “Goodnight Kiss-mix”, the first on-air slow jam mix. Extending her talents, Deja has made several appearances on the nationally syndicated “Russ Parr Morning Show”, providing both local and entertainment news. In addition, she uses her vast entertainment knowledge for the Internet show featuring Grammy-nominated singer Raheem DeVaughn.

    The Bassment Jam with Ric Chill and DJ Face

    Ric Chill is a truly the hardest working man in Washington DC radio, having worked at 10 radio stations in the DC market. Born and raised in the DMV, Ric began his radio career at the tender of age of 17 as an intern at WPGC. Within 8 months he was a weekend on-air personality. In 1995, he was recruited to lead the on-air staff at the first all hip hop/go-go station in the Washington DC market, “Flava 1580”. After a brief stint at WKYS, Ric transitioned into a sports talk show producer, producing shows for the likes of Tony Kornheiser, Doc Walker & Al Koken, as well being the original producer for “The John Thompson Show” on ESPN 980.

    In 2000, Ric joined the staff of Jam’n 99.5, which later changed formats and became HOT 99.5. While there, he was the top rated personality on the station over any daypart.
    In 2009, Ric re-joined the Radio One family in Washington DC, working in a variety of capacities until joining the Majic 102.3 airstaff in January of 2012. Ric is the Executive Producer & On-Air Contributor of the Donnie Simpson Show.
