Soul II Soul’s Melissa Bell has passed away at age 53. The singer’s daughter, Alexandra Burke broke the news on Twitter earlier this week.
In 1993, Bell joined the group Soul II Soul and had a successful singing career after appearing on their single “Wish.” Later, Bell launched her solo career and was best known as front woman for the soul group Soul Explosion.
