Jill Scott has just been unveiled as one of Lifetime Movie Network’s fresh faces for 2010.

Expected to appear in the forthcoming made-for-television film, “Sins of the Mother,’ LMN says Jill Scott will portray a mother who starts a new life after raising a daughter.

Based on the novel “Orange Mint and Honey,” written by Carleen Brice, “Sins of the Mother” is described by Variety as focusing on a grad student who returns home to face her abusive, alcoholic mother (Scott) only to discover that her mom is sober and has a 3-year-old daughter and new life.

“Sins of the Mother” is due to premiere on the Lifetime Movie Network in 2010.

Ruben Studdard has lent his pen and voice to Be Sickle Smart, a nationwide health education program aimed at increasing awareness of iron overload among people living with sickle cell.

Co-writing a new song titled “I’m A Fighter,” Studdard is set to perform in support of the organization via ‘Empowerment Days’.

Slated to kick off September 19th in Memphis, TN, the ‘Empowerment Days’ tour will provide concert attendees with an iron-overload education presentation and free iron-overload screenings.

In related news, Ruben Studdard has also been named the official spokespersonfor BSS (Be Sickle Smart).

Well, well looks like Bobby Brown has packed on the pounds. Bobby

and his double chin will be sweating it out on “Celebrity Fit Club” scheduled to air in 2010.

According to TMZ, he will be joined by cast members from “High School Musical”, “Baywatch” and “The Practice,” which will include Shar Jackson, Nicole Eggert, Tanisha Thomas, Casey Stroh, and Michael Badalucco. Is this the best Celebrity Fit Club can come up with?
