redskins  A large majority of Washington area sports fans say the Washington Redskins should not change the team name and according to a Washington Post poll and changing it might cause a loss of support from some of the team’s most loyal and dedicated fans. The debate over the name has been highlighted a lot over the past few months as members of Congress, and media commentators have criticized it as being offensive  to Native Americans and argued for change. 61 percent of the Washingtonian population say they like the team’s name, more than eight in 10 people state the team should indeed keep its name.
