(Columbus, GA)  –The Cathedral of Prayer in Columbus, Georgia is 80-thousand-dollars richer after cashing in a winning Georgia Lottery ticket.
Church CFO Gloria Rodgers told the “Atlanta Journal-Constitution” the winning ticket was dropped anonymously in the church offering plate recently.  Rodgers says people for years have put winning lottery tickets in the offering plate, but nothing this large.  It will be put to good use because the money comes three weeks after burglars stripped the church’s air conditioning unit of its copper, leaving the building uncooled.
