Beginning Thursday morning, Metro will closing more than a dozen stations for an indefinite period to limit Metro’s staffing and cleaning requirements amid the coronavirus outbreak.

If you plan on heading out in the DMV this weekend, you may want to add a little time to your commute if you’re taking Metro trains. Track work will interrupt normal service on ALL Metro lines this weekend. 

If you’re a Metro rider, the next phase of SafeTrack has begun which means Greenbelt & College Park stations on the Green Line will be closed until May 14th. This also means you have to allot time in your normal travel routine.

Starting next summer, metro riders may find themselves getting off at the wrong stop. Metro’s board approved name changes for a couple stations which will take place in June 2012.
