1. CKay – CKay The Second

Today, the emo-Afrobeats connoisseur enters the next phase of his career with his new EP, CKay The Second, out now via AWAL, his new label home. Spanning 6 tracks and including features from Sabrina Claudio (“again”) and Bella Shmurda (“nothing spoil”), CKay The Second showcases CKay’s evolution as he seamlessly fuses R&B and pop with Afro rhythms, creating a body of work that feels deeply personal yet effortlessly inviting. Over an upbeat production, CKay brings his signature romantic energy to what feels like a busy summer ahead, solidifying his place as Africa’s doting boyfriend. 

CKay The Second marks an important milestone in CKay’s career as he aims to expand his unique sound to a global audience while leaning further into the emotional vulnerability and melodic richness that have defined his global breakout. The EP signals his most refined and intentional release yet, crafted not only to resonate with his loyal fanbase but to connect with new listeners around the world. The tour represents a major step in his mission to bring his distinct brand of Afrobeats to a wider global audience — and cements his evolution from viral sensation to fully realized global star.

Since his rise in 2019, CKay continues to push creative boundaries while championing African culture on the global stage. His breakout single “Love Nwantiti” became one of TikTok’s earliest viral success stories as the most-used song of 2021, amassing over 2 billion streams at the time and becoming the first-ever No. 1 on the former Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs Chart. The song peaked at #26 on the Billboard Hot 100 and earned multi-platinum certifications in over 20 countries, making CKay one of the most certified Afrobeats artists in the world. By the end of 2024, CKay was named the best-selling Nigerian artist of the year by the RIAA.

2. Pixel Grip – Percepticide: The Death of Reality

Today, Chicago electronic trio Pixel Grip have released their highly anticipated third independent album, Percepticide: The Death of Reality, now available on all streaming platforms. Accompanying the release is a fiery music video for the focus track “Reason to Stay”, alongside visualizers for all tracks – deepening the album’s visceral, immersive experience. Watch HERE.

The album follows a series of acclaimed singles including “Reason to Stay”, “Split”, “Stamina” and “Bet You Do”. Co-produced with Joo Joo Ashworth (SASAMI, King Tuff), and written over a three-year period between Los Angeles and Chicago, Percepticide: The Death of Reality is a raw excavation of trauma, catharsis, and rebirth. The trio comprised of Rita Lukea (vocals), Jonathon Freund (synth), and Tyler Ommen (drums)—confront personal demons throughout: betrayal, addiction, emotional fracture, and disconnection.

The result is a searing sonic narrative exploring the collapse and reconstruction of identity, connection, perception, and reality itself. Opening track “Crows Feast” sets the tone and eases listeners in with Rita’s haunting lyrics: ”Thought that I made a friend, it turns out you’re one of them, I open up my ribcage and let the crows feast. And then they come back the next day and say they’re hungry.” On “Bet You Do”, Pixel Grip takes it up a notch with Rita’s vocals on full display amidst the band’s signature blend of darkwave and synth elements. “Reason to Stay” offers a gripping and emotionally charged confrontation of betrayal with unrelenting force, balancing vulnerability and strength in equal measure. 

Percepticide: The Death of Reality marks Pixel Grip’s first fully independent release, a bold testament to their unwavering creative autonomy and DIY ethos of their earlier work. The album is incisive, aggressive, tender, and turbulent—capturing the full spectrum of tragedy, triumph, and emotional clarity. Throughout, Pixel Grip continues to eclipse genre, fusing darkwave, electronic, post-punk, and avant-pop into something wholly their own.

Explaining the title, the band shares, “Percepticide is a portmanteau of percipere (to perceive) and -cide (to kill), signifying ‘the killing of perception.’ Percepticide: The Death of Reality is more than just an album—it’s a visceral experience, a statement, and a call to redefine how we see the world.” 

Rita adds, “‘Percepticide’ is a cognitive distortion and a symptom of trauma—beliefs you hold to be true are shattered—as you question everyone and everything around you. My dream is that expressing my rage can help someone else feel empowered and, at the very least, less alone. You’re never stuck, and you’re never alone.”

Pixel Grip will support the album release with a North American headline tour this Fall. The Percepticide Tour kicks off September 23rd in St. Louis, and hits 26 cities across the U.S. and Canada, culminating in a triumphant hometown performance at Chicago’s Metro on November 14th. 3. The Marcus King Band – Carolina Honey

“‘Carolina Honey’ is all about how I met my wife and what a significant impact that chance meeting had on my life that one night after a show in Raleigh, NC,” says King. “I woke up still hurting from the night before – still feeling I didn’t have much to live for. I’d given up on any thought that I could ever be ‘happy.’ All that changed when Little Bird walked into my life. After my set, Briley came backstage to say hello – she started playing Linda Ronstadt and singing and for the first time I saw something or someone in front me that gave me ‘hope.’ Someone I wanted to be my BEST self for – Someone I wanted to grow old with, someone that made me want to grow old ‘at all.’ ‘Carolina Honey’ takes the listener through my mentality that day, my change of heart that night and my burning desire for her to feel the same way too.”

The beloved Marcus King Band Family Reunion music festival will return for its fourth installment this summer, taking place in Charleston, SC for the first time ever. Over the course of two days—August 23 and 24—the festival will see performances by the Marcus King Band, Jamey Johnson, Stephen Wilson Jr., Molly Tuttle, Hiss Golden Messenger and more. This year finds King hitting the road with Chris Stapleton, Cody Johnson, Eric Church and Dwight Yoakam. Complete list of dates below. King will be performing at Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, TN on June 12. He recently took the stage at CMA Fest in Nashville, performing at Nissan Stadium alongside Brooks & Dunn following their release of “Rock My World (Little Country Girl)” on their Reboot II album. He also played Spotify House before joining forces with Jordan Davis for a special performance of their unreleased track, “Louisiana Stick.” Additionally, King surprised fans with a pop-up set at Chief’s for Sirius XM. He sat in with Lukas Nelson for his set at Chief’s as well.

Greenville, South Carolina-born, Nashville-based Marcus King started performing alongside his blues guitarist father when he was just eight years old. He made his solo debut with El Dorado (2020), produced by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys. The album was met with widespread acclaim, with the Associated Press calling it “a definite high point of 2020.” It went on to earn King his landmark Grammy nomination for Best Americana Album at the 63^rd Annual Grammy Awards.

He followed up the success of El Dorado with Young Blood (2022), also produced by Auerbach. His sophomore album debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top Blues Albums Chart, describing it as a “staggeringly confident work.” Last year King returned with his third album, Mood Swings, produced by Rick Rubin, of which Rolling Stone describes, “he…goes for something much more daring, vulnerable, and openhearted.”

4. ZADA – Breath Away

Today, rising singer-songwriter ZADA has released her new song “Breath Away”.

Recorded at Vancouver’s HippoSonic Recording Studios, the track was produced by long-time collaborators Chin Injeti (Eminem, P!nk, J. Cole) and Brian West (Nelly Furtado, Sia, Bono) and written by ZADA, Injeti, and West.

Marking a powerful new chapter for the Ethiopian-born/Whistler-based artist, “Breath Away” captures catharsis, evoking feelings from moments, memories, and interactions. The song is imbued with nostalgic indie pop, digital drum patterns, sweeping major chords, and a sense of West Coast wonder as ZADA sings: “Salt, sun, serenity, I’m feeling everything; these small infinities, they take my breath away.”

In speaking about the track, ZADA says: “‘Breath Away’ is about the small infinities that people grant us and the echoes of their essence within us, how it takes your breath away.”

“Breath Away” is the first offering of new original music from ZADA since the release of her 2024 debut album Water In The Desert, which brought together Injeti, West, and producers Elliot Beenk and Tim Olivershe, with mastering by Grammy-winning engineers Neal H Pogue and Mike Bozzi. Featuring singles “Atlantic Times,” “All In Your Mind,” and “Sweet Things In Life,” the 8-track project explores themes of grief, ambition, love, and self-worth with bold vulnerability, garnering praise from the likes of BET, Billboard, and Complex.

With more new music on the horizon, ZADA will showcase her talents live at the Tofino Jazz Festival on Saturday, June 28 and Harmony Arts Festival on Saturday, August 9.

5. Kevin Olusola ft. The HU Showtime Marching Band & Concert Chorale – Hallelujah at Howard University

In celebration of Black Music Month, Kevin Olusola, the dynamic singer, cellist, and beatboxer best known for his work with the 3x-GRAMMY® Award-winning a cappella group Pentatonix, joins forces with Howard University in a powerful new collaboration of “Hallelujah at Howard University.” The track is featured on the deluxe edition of his acclaimed debut solo album DAWN OF A MISFIT DELUXE (Sony Music Masterworks), which is available everywhere now. 

Sparked by his desire to connect with young artists, Kevin’s work with Howard quickly evolved into a remarkable creative partnership rooted in shared experience, mutual inspiration, and a bold commitment to challenging stereotypes, and celebrating the brilliance, creativity, and differences.

Filmed by Howard University graduate students on the Howard University football field under the direction of Emmy-winning Associate Film Professor Jami Ramberan, the video captures the energy, pride, and artistry of the Howard and HBCU communities.

“The heart of my artist project is simply this: ‘Be Your Own Misfit.’ It’s about unapologetically standing in your truth—even when it means defying stereotypes and going against the grain of cultural expectations,” shares Kevin Olusola. “In much of mainstream media, Black identity is often narrowly portrayed through lenses of struggle or success only in certain spaces like sports or hip-hop. “That’s why I chose to collaborate with Howard University, the pinnacle of Black excellence. When I visited campus, I was deeply moved by the students’ brilliance, their individuality, and the diversity of their passions—from medicine to anime to engineering. So, we came together to create something no one expects: a powerful fusion of classical and marching band traditions that celebrates Black freedom, joy, and authenticity. This collaboration with Howard’s Concert Chorale and Showtime Marching Band is not just about the music—it’s a declaration of identity, excellence, and liberation.”

The multi-faceted artist previously unveiled his debut solo album DAWN OF A MISFIT this May. The wide-ranging album touches on spirituality, fatherhood, and being a first-generation person in a Western country, all while fusing classical, pop, R&B, and hip-hop. 6. Aaron Page – Before I Go

Rising R&B artist Aaron Page unveils his long- awaited new EP, “Before I Go”, a genre-bending project full of heat, heart, and raw authenticity, out now via AWAL. Having built momentum over with standout singles “Lord Knows”, Pretty Girls Like R&B and “Sympathy”, the full body of work arrives with a focus track that’s ready to take over the summer: “CLRS”

With an uptempo bounce, vibrant energy, and undeniable rhythm, “CLRS” sets the tone for the EP. The record is followed by a colorful visual, available to WATCH NOW.

7. Devine Carama & Amadeus360 – Guardians of the Boom Bap

Emmy-winning rapper Devine Carama and producer Amadeus360 released their new collaborative album Guardians of the Boom Bap today (6/13/2025). Available on all major digital streaming platforms via Soulspazm, the album serves as an ode to Hip-Hop’s “Golden Era”. Album standout “Years To Build” borrows from two quintessential songs from this roughly decade-long period: Raekwon’s “Ice Cream” and Eric B & Rakim’s “Eric B. Is President”. The two samples compliment Devine’s lyrical expression of the blood, sweat, and tears poured into his artistry, and the challenges faced along the way. This morning, the song’s NYJtheOfficial-directed music video debuted via YouTube.

8. Avenoir & Bryant Barnes – Heaven

One of the most exciting new voices in the R&B arena today, singer and songwriter Avenoir makes his return with a striking new single “Heaven” in collaboration with rising artist Bryant Barnes today. The South-African-born, Alberta-raised artist burst onto the music arena with a cult following, over 350 million total global streams to date, sold out shows, and a Juno nomination Contemporary R&B Record of the Year already under his young belt. The Edmonton-based 23-year-old first generation artist is the child of Nigerian and Zambian parents who passed on their love for music to Avenoir and his siblings. His first venture into music began when he started playing piano in church with his mother, a powerful songstress in the church, as a way to fortify their relationship. At a young age, he also discovered a deep love for poetry during the second grade and soon after started making music from scratch as a kid. He drew from the sounds he was surrounded by growing up which included the rock and alternative music of his father and the soul and R&B of his mother, both of which have come to inform his one-of-a-kind sound.

9. Jwalt ft. Seiji Oda – Bay 2 NY

Rising Bay Area MC Jwalt delivers a bold tribute to his roots with the release of his new single “Bay 2 NY,” featuring Seiji Oda and produced by ClayDough and Synchro. Download / Stream here. The track celebrates West Coast pride while bridging cultural sounds between Oakland and New York. 10. June Freedom – Spiritual

Cape Verdean Afro-fusion artist June Freedom returns with his commanding new single, “Spiritual,” out now via EMPIRE and Flight Club Music Group. The record is a hypnotic blend of Afro-Fusion and alternative textures, pulsing with raw emotion, poetic grit, and irresistible rhythm, anchored by June’s unmistakable voice.

Produced by Eric “AIR!C” José da Cruz and Ergin “BEARDEAUX” Dundar, “Spiritual” hits hard from the first beat, wrapping lush instrumentation and hypnotic flow around June Freedom’s seamless blend of English and Cape Verdean Kriolu. 11. Jonas Brothers – Live From The O2 London

Following the announcement of their highly-anticipated new studio album Greetings From Your Hometown and a monumental North American headline tour beginning in August, GRAMMY®-nominated, multi-platinum superstars Jonas Brothers are back today with a new live album, Live At O2 London—listen HERE.

12. Jenevieve – Head Over Heels

Jenevieve is keeping her foot firmly pressed on the gas pedal with her newest single, “Head Over Heels,” now available on all major streaming platforms. The song is an expansion of Jenevieve’s sonic universe, showcasing her signature blend of soulful vocals over modern production sampling Tom Browne’s “Charisma”. The track explores the dizzying highs of falling for someone, told through her distinct lyrical perspective and timeless delivery.

13. Gunna – Won't Stop

Kickstarting what promises to be a bold era, four-time GRAMMY® Award-nominated, multi-platinum Atlanta rap superstar Gunna returns with a new single entitled “Won’t Stop” out now via Young Stoner Life Records/300 Entertainment. It marks his first solo release of 2025, and it begins the next phase of his journey as one of hip-hop’s leading rappers and a generational artist.

22. Oxymorrons – Cool Being You

New York’s genre-blurring punks Oxymorrons are back with “Cool Being You” – a vibrant new single that dives headfirst into a dynamic fusion of alternative, punk, and hip-hop. Entirely written, recorded, and produced by the band, the track also marks the start of a bold new chapter, with Oxymorrons announcing their upcoming EP ‘Create, Destroy, Rebuild, Repeat.’, to release fall 2025.

24. Madison Bailey ft. KAIRO – Raincheck

About the release, Kaze said, “It all started with a bit of playfulness. Tobias Jesso Jr. suggested we try a song with Japanese in it. He said “What was the name of that dog at Shibuya?” and I said, “uh…Hachiko?”. And Sir Nolan made the beat on the spot. Years later, I watched the movie “The Tale of Hachikō” to finish the song. The melody and lyrics came naturally after that. I had never written a song to a beat before, so it was a whole new experience for me. Finally, I worked with producer 250 to further refine it. Hachiko, a loyal dog, waited for his deceased owner for 10 years at the station every day, and they finally got to see each other in heaven. Rather than focusing on the tragic sides of the story, the song highlights its joy and peace. 27. KARABA – Tides

French-Congolese producer/DJ KARABA has unveiled her anticipated Tides EP out now via ONErpm. The EP features previously released singles ‘Surfacing’, ‘Siren’ and ‘Dark Waters’. 

Crafted as a conceptual arc, Tides flows through aquatic metaphors and submerged moods as KARABA explores themes of identity, transformation, and fluidity. Across its five tracks, the EP ripples with mystical textures, iridescent rhythms, and ancestral vocal motifs that echo across time and tide. From the meditative opener ‘Into The Sea’ and melodious depth of ‘Sinking’ to the sultry crescendos of ‘Surfacing’, each track evokes a phase of submersion and emergence. The EP dives into her Afro house signature with the shadowy pulse of ‘Dark Waters’ and hypnotic call of ‘Siren’, weaving a sonic narrative that mirrors the push and pull of emotional waves and personal rebirth.

28. Ginger Winn – Freeze Frame

Today, Kingston, NY via Charleston, South Carolina folk singer-songwriter Ginger Winn thoughtfully moves through grief on her sophomore album, Freeze Frame out now. On the new single, the artist ponders love passed through generations with “Socrates” and its accompanying official music video. Tonight, Winn will celebrate the new music with a show at Woodstock Way in Woodstock, NY.

Freeze Frame, out now, produced and engineered by A.J. Yorio (Michael Marcagi), sees Winn tackle the complexities of heavy topics like suicide, grief and anxiety. Recorded during a record snow storm in Cincinnati at Yorio’s home studio after globally touring with Michael Marcagi, the album came together naturally and the pair found their stride. Yorio reflects, “I had barely learned how to keep time on the drum kit, let alone learn how to record them correctly, when Matt Baione (Ginger’s co-writer) reached out and asked if I would want to get in the studio first-thing 2025 and make a record. My second son had just been born eight weeks earlier. When Ginger came in January we got snowed in for more than a week with record-breaking-flakes here in Cincinnati. Sharing my home and family with Ginger amidst the epic snowstorm felt like living in a really intriguing Netflix series. It was an utter blast.”

The 14 tracks thoughtfully walk through the stages of grief and hold the intricacies of Winn’s layered emotions as she processes deep loss and discovers a new kind of acceptance–of herself and of her circumstances. Winn reveals, “’Freeze Frame’ is the most emotional project I’ve ever made. It holds my new grief, my longing, and all the tiny moments that pulled me through. I experienced the sudden passing of my father two months before final production and recording vocals, and it was so healing to put all those emotions into something so beautiful.”

Additional appearances on Freeze Frame come from Lily Breshears (Haley Heynderickx) who plays harp on “Scenes from a Wake,” Chris Pasin who plays trumpet on “Circling Squares” and Florentine violinist Kevin Mucaj. The album was mixed by Tom “Tomás Tomás” Fattorusso and GRAMMY-winner Justin Guip.

“Socrates,” out today, blends Winn’s past, present and future through airy vocals, a steady guitar strum and a commanding rhythm. The track sinks into nostalgia, how the past informs the present and the kind of love that endures through generations. Winn expands, “‘Socrates’ is about the unknown legacy we all leave behind. My co-writer Matt came up with this idea about philosophy and planting seeds for a future we’ll never see, and I brought in what I was going through—growing up, leaving home, moving to South Africa, and missing my mom. It became a song about how we’re shaped by the people who raised us and how we, in turn, shape others—even if we’re not around to see the impact.”

In its Hudson Valley-set music video shot on the same bridge as many scenes in Apple TV’s Severance, Winn wanders the empty, dimly lit bridge alone. On the location, one that will be familiar to Severance fans, Winn shares, “I was drawn to its eerie quiet, and the way it holds both beauty and mystery — much like grief, and much like this song.”

“It’s an unraveling,” says Winn. “It starts with three acorns disappearing from my hands and becomes a chase–running from something I can’t see. It ends with me flat on the Severance bridge in Kingston—no road closures, just a midnight shoot and a prayer no cars hit us. That final shot felt like a surrender—to the unknown, to the chase, to whatever we’re all running from.”

Most recently, Winn shared “Escape” and its matching video where she aims to outrun her anxiety accompanied by a wolf dog in a wintery, barren forest. Atwood Magazine, who debuted the single, wrote, “Brutally honest and achingly raw, “Escape” is a song of reckoning and release – an intimate confessional and a vulnerable, cathartic confrontation with Winn’s inner world: The weight, the pain, the hope, and the healing. It’s about facing our fear head-on, making space within ourselves for it, and finding the strength to move forward – together.”

Born and raised in South Carolina, Ginger Winn has been singing and songwriting since age nine. In 2022, Winn began producing music for others online, and in 2024, shared her wistful debut album, STOP-MOTION, produced by David Baron (The Lumineers, Noah Kahan, Shawn Mendes). Atwood Magazine wrote the LP is “sweet, stirring, and sun-kissed..an intimate and honest snapshot of the full spectrum of emotion and experience, introducing a budding artist with a heart of gold and the voice to match.” Now, with new hardships and life experiences that color her second project, Winn begins to artistically explore and present new parts of herself as she moves through the darkness and weight of grief like never before.

31. iann dior – CYCLES

Today, multi-platinum artist iann dior has released CYCLES, his bold new full-length album via Big Noise. With every track, he flexes his ability to blend alternative, hip-hop, rock, and pop sounds into a style that’s entirely his own. CYCLES, executively produced by John Feldmann (blink-183, Good Charlotte, 5SOS), pushes boundaries and dives deep into the highs and lows of modern life, reflecting his ever-evolving artistic vision.

37. Biffy Clyro – A Little Love

U.K. alt-rock giants Biffy Clyro return with new single “A Little Love,” their first new music since their #1 album A Celebration of Endings and its companion project The Myth Of The Happily Ever After. The trio recently introduced the track to a huge audience during their main stage set at Radio 1’s Big Weekend and it has just been premiered as Radio 1’s Hottest Record. Recorded with producer Jonathan Gilmore, “A Little Love” is Biffy Clyro – Simon Neil (vocals/guitar), James Johnston (bass) and Ben Johnston (drums) – in their most gloriously uplifting mode. Its effervescent tones, dramatic synth stabs and heavyweight grooves establish the band’s renowned blend of grit and melody, but it soon takes flight with a soaring, sky-bound hook that’s as instantly infectious as any of their big hits. It’s the perfect soundscape for lyrics which celebrate love in all its forms, and especially the realization that you don’t always know what you have until it’s gone. 

The accompanying visual for the track uses the striking physicality of interconnected body movement between the three as a metaphor for the durability and reliance that Biffy Clyro share as a band. The concept was inspired by Marina Abramović’s 1977 work Relation In Time, and the visual was directed by Piers Dennis, best known for his work with Self Esteem. 38. Paul Weller – I Started A Joke

Paul Weller is set to make his return on July 25th with the

highly anticipated new album Find El Dorado – a bold and personal collection of reinterpretations that

shine new light on some of the songs that have shaped him.

Ahead of the album’s release, one of its standout moments arrives via all streaming platforms is a

striking version of the Bee Gees’ haunting classic “I Started a Joke,” available now. First released

as a single in 1968 (though not in the UK), Weller didn’t actually hear the Bee Gees’ version until

after he had already recorded several albums of his own. Now, it becomes a centrepiece of Find El

Dorado – a song he not only admires, but wishes he had written himself.

“It’s one of those tracks that almost makes you re-think your own writing,” Weller says. “It reinforces

the value of a great melody. And perhaps with someone like Robin Gibb, who didn’t play any

instruments, that’s doubly important. Because that – along with the words you’ve written for it – is all

you can really communicate to the musicians and the arranger. So everything is hanging off that.”

Calvin explains the inspiration behind the Twinz’s new single, “At the beginning of 2024, I gave someone
who had pursued me a chance. But once they had me, they stopped communicating and gave low effort.
I usually avoid dating because it requires vulnerability, and in that situationship, I really let my guard
down. I’m still embarrassed till this day for showing them that side of me. So we made ‘DINERO’ to shift
the focus – on the money, not the man.”

When the Spellman Twinz first embarked on their pathway to fame, they had no idea that the journey
they endured before the cameras turned on would ultimately empower a whole world of fans. Songs like
“Body Clash” and “Tonight” grabbed the world by storm, with visuals to match the grooves, as
“Hydration” fanned the flames of their growing success.

Yes, they’re identical twins. Born in Redding, California, just two hours from Sacramento, their early
years were far from golden. Their parents split when they were four, forcing a move to Sacramento with
their father. By six, they were caught in a chaotic cycle—bouncing between homes, including foster care,
as their father’s abuse continued. After eventually moving back in with him in their preteens, music soon
became their refuge. “We always loved music. It was, like, our getaway—especially when we were
young—because we didn’t used to go anywhere,” Calvin shares. “We used to have a clock radio in our
room, and at night, we would sit there and listen to music, just thinking about our life and where it could
be,” Clinton adds. While they admired many artists, it was bold, danceable icons like Rihanna—blending
infectious melodies with a fearless attitude—that truly inspired them.

By 17, the twins were back in Redding. “Basically, our father disowned us when he found out about our
sexualities,” Calvin recalls. Newly embracing their identities as gay young men, they faced another
upheaval—one ran away, the other followed, and they reunited with their mother just three months
before high school graduation. Despite the chaos, they managed to graduate and enroll at Sacramento
State University, earning track scholarships. But when their viral dance videos took off on YouTube and
Musical.ly (and later TikTok), their growing public personas clashed with the track team—leading to their
removal. Then, in an eerie moment of twin telepathy, both suffered a mental breakdown, were
hospitalized, left school, and lost their apartment.

Through tragedy came triumph, and it was then that they found their voice in music. “We’re gay, and we
wanted to make music that people could relate to and feel good about,” Calvin says. “It felt like we were
a good representation of our community, but our music also represents our personalities.” The Spring of
2024 was a turning point for the twins. After a few years of finding their space in dance music online,
they took it offline and started performing at major events like Sacramento Pride.

It’s been a long time coming for the Spellman Twinz. After weathering their share of storms, they’re
reclaiming their narrative with “Dinero” – shifting the focus back to themselves (and the bag), while
uplifting others through music.“We want to make music that’s fun and danceable,” the two echo matter
of factly. “We’re here to inspire people to have a good time.”

Today, rising North Carolina based singer-songwriter Wesko shares his latest single “Pretend” via underscore works recordings / Warner Records. Listen HERE. It lands in the wake of his (un)plugged, vol. 2 EP from earlier this year. 

Wesko’s “Pretend” is a poignant country track that delves into the raw vulnerability of unrequited love. With his signature vocals, Wesko paints a vivid picture of a man caught in the throes of deep affection for someone still hung up on a past love. “Kiss me like you need me, hold me like you want me to stay for a while / Oh, I know I ain’t him, but baby, please just try,” sings Wesko. The song’s tender melody and heartfelt delivery capture the bittersweet ache of loving someone who can’t fully reciprocate. 

Earlier this month, Wesko made his debut at CMA Music Festival in Nashville, TN on the

After hearing “Helene,” country superstar Luke Combs personally invited Wesko to perform at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, NC as part of the Concert for Carolina. Taking the stage, Combs introduced him, and he captivated a capacity crowd of 82,000 with a heart-wrenching rendition of the song. He notably joined a powerhouse bill with Eric Church, The Avett Brothers, Scotty McCreery, Sheryl Crow, and Keith Urban. The event raised over $24 million for Hurricane Helene relief. 

Hailing from Kenansville, NC, Wesko has quietly emerged as a country maverick with a knack for true grit. 42. Zzz. – One More Night

Today, Miami artist Zzz. shares “One More Night,” a catchy alt-pop cut soaked in nostalgia for more carefree days. He also announces his anticipated forthcoming EP titled Close Your Eyes & Listen is set for release on June 27th via Warner Records.

”One More Night” opens on Zzz. and an electric guitar, and then expands to include warm synths, driving drums, and a bittersweet melody where his evocative vocals and lyrics capture the highs and lows of living like there’s no tomorrow. Zzz. asserts:

“‘One More Night’” is about how we never can know when things are going to take a wrong turn,” says Zzz. “I was inspired by that specific feeling. There’s something nostalgic about the sound — it takes me back to when I made these same sorts of decisions that I would’ve been unsure about at the time, but ultimately decided that I didn’t care about the outcome.”

44. Kill Dyll – PARASOCIAL

”PARASOCIAL” is the latest entry in a new mask-off era for Kill Dyll that finds him unpacking the complexities around him via music and lyrics that are more personal and visceral than ever. 45. Nobu Woods – WHITEOUT

With its glistening atmosphere, eerie chimes, and experimental production, “WHITEOUT” isn’t your typical R&B song. Woods’ aching voice infuses the song with an intense sense of desire as he addresses his lover.
