Pharrell Williams is taking legal action against President Trump for using (abusing) his hit song, Happy, at a political rally just hours after the deadly mass shooting at a Pittsburgh synagogue. This was such in poor taste, but… is it really a surprise? Pharrell and his legal team sent a cease-and-desist letter to Pres. Trump saying, in part, that “there was nothing happy about the tragedy inflicted upon our country,” and that Trump did not have permission to use it. Clearly.
