Remember that overrated show Seinfeld created by comedian Jerry Seinfeld? You might not remember because you were busy watching Martin. But Seinfeld was an extremely popular sitcom based on white mediocrity and set in New York City without a brown person in sight — just like Friends. Yep, these were the days where white folks really soaked in their pale bubble and ruled the Nielsen ratings.

Jerry Seinfeld always stood by his unrealistic lack of New York diversity and once said, “People think [comedy] is the census or something, it’s gotta represent the actual pie chart of America. Who cares?” and “I have no interest in gender or race or anything like that.” To be rich, privileged and white!

Well, now Jerry is defending Roseanne Barr.

In case you forgot, Barr compared Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett to an ape. She wrote Jarrett equals “muslim brotherhood & planets of the apes had a baby.” Barr gave countless excuses, including blaming her bigotry on Ambien and saying she didn’t even know Jarrett was Black, even though Rosseanne had a long history of racism. The reboot of her show was canceled, but it has been resuscitated without Barr and being renamed The Conners.

Jerry Seinfeld, 64, is shedding white tears for Roseanne. He told USA Today that her show shouldn’t have been canceled, “I don’t even know why they had to do that. It seemed like, you don’t need to murder someone that’s committing suicide. I thought the firing was overkill. She’s already dead.”

This shouldn’t shock anyone. This is the same man who defended his co-star Michael Richards after he screamed the n-word at a comedy club in 2006, even saying he would hire him again. Jerry is standing by his 1990s, racism is okay, “Who cares about diversity?” world.

He has a new show on Netflix about riding in cars. Good luck with that, bro.
