Calvin and Shantay just moved in their new home 3 months ago and they’re happy to be homeowners. While the community is still new, they are one of only a few black families in the subdivision. One evening last month, Calvin was outside washing his car in the driveway and police pulled up claiming there was a complaint that his music was too loud. They’ve met one neighbor who lives next door but the other neighbors seem standoffish. They’re baffled on why the cops were called because the music wasn’t loud and thinks he should confront the neighbors because he feels like a prisoner in his own yard. Shantay thinks he should leave it alone. What would you suggest they do about their neighbors?
