With a $100 Million dollar production budget and a Disney backing, Ava DuVernay is making history as the first African American Woman to spearhead a live action film with “A Wrinkle in Time”. You may know this famed Director from the movie “12 Years a Slave” and TV Series “Queen Sugar”.
A wrinkle in time cast young Storm Reid as Meg and Oprah Winfrey as Mrs. Which. This whimsical, fantastic story is an adaptation of Madeleine L’Engle’s 1963 novel about a young girl, Meg and her brother Charles, along with their friend Calvin, on a search for Meg’s father. The journey is full of courage and strength and box office numbers are expected to reach over $85 million dollars.
