Next month, Oprah and Renée Elise Goldsberry will star in “The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks” on HBO and they will also cover the April issue of Essence magazine.
In the issue, they’ll talk about bringing the story of Henrietta Lacks to television. For those who don’t know the story of Henrietta Lacks, she’s the African American woman whose cells were taken without her knowledge and used in research that changed the course of cancer treatment.
