Grammy Nominated God-Father of Go-Go Chuck Brown’s legacy lives on, as they are releasing his last album, “Beautiful Life” next week, Aug. 19 and celebrating Chuck Brown Day on Aug. 22 with Mayor Gray’s dedication and ribbon cutting of the Chuck Brown Memorial Park.  We would love for you to do a story.  We can send you the iCloud link and interviews are available with his children (Nekos & KK), and the Chuck Brown Band members. The album (track list below) also features well known artists who worked with Chuck.  The ROOTS also did a tribute to him during one of their shows.  We appreciate your support, please help us make this his best album of his career.

 

Godfather of Go-Go, Chuck Brown’s final album, entitled “Beautiful Life” will be released on August 19th.  The new album contains an intro by Doug E. Wednesday, August 20, 2014 – Screening of Put Your Hands Up! The Tribute Concert to Chuck Brown at U Street Outdoor Movie Series at Harrison Park.

Friday, August 22, 2014 – Chuck Brown Band Performance – Album Release Event and Birthday Show for Chuck Brown at Howard Theatre.

Friday, August 22, 2014 – Official Chuck Brown Day in Washington, D.C. (His Birthday also)

August 22, 2014 (11am-2pm) – Mayor Vincent Gray will do a dedication and Ribbon Cutting To Unveil Chuck Brown Memorial Park (2901 20th Street, NE, Washington D.C.)  The Chuck Brown Foundation will also give out 500 backpacks to children attending .
