The DMV – that’s DC, Maryland and Virginia to you – is awash with the sounds of jazz this weekend as two major festivals are going on. The DC Jazz Fest boasts a performance by The Roots while the Capital Jazz Fest celebrates the 25 year anniversary of jazz crooner Will Downing. Soul music has it’s way as well as Babyface, Mary J. Blige, Anthony Hamilton and Tamia all hit the road this weekend. If sports is your thing, Game 2 of the NBA Finals between the San Antonio Spurs and the defending champs, The Miami Heat, is played Saturday night and Serena Williams gears up for what could be a historic French Open title live from Paris on Saturday morning.
