(Richmond, VA) —  Virginia Emergency Management officials say are holding calls with localities, the National Weather Service and other state agencies all this week in preparation for the possible arrival of Hurricane Irene this weekend. Emergency Management spokesman Bob Spieldenner says they’re keeping up with the forecast, Irene’s potential impact and the possibility that some local actions will have to be taken.
