(Washington, DC) — Police say a pregnant woman appears to have been struck by a stray bullet in her Southeast, DC apartment. The bullet went through the sliding glass door of the woman’s second floor apartment on First Street, Southeast near Atlantic Avenue, striking her in the leg. The woman was rushed to the hospital and is expected to live and the unborn child was not hurt. Investigators believe the shot may have been fired during a fight between two groups of young men in an alley behind the building. Police are asking for the public’s help in finding the shooter.
