President Obama has called for a moment of silence today to honor the victims of Saturday’s shooting spree in Tucson, Arizona.  The shooting left six people dead, including a federal judge.  The alleged target of the gunman, Arizona Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, is in critical condition.  Obama said the moment of silence at 11 a.m. Eastern Time will be a time for Americans to “come together as a nation in prayer or reflection.”  Obama also ordered flags to be flown at half-staff.
