VJ In The Midday with Vic Jagger
Vic Jagger is an award-winning radio host, producer, writer, and multimedia personality from Washington, DC, with over two decades of experience in the industry. Her career began in 2002 as an intern with the nationally syndicated Russ Parr Morning Show on 93.9 WKYS. Within a year, she rose to Associate Producer and On-Air Talent, where her comedic alter ego “Shaqwana” quickly became a fan favorite. During this time, she also gave back to the community—hosting events, visiting schools, and inspiring young people with her journey in radio. Her service earned her the Spirit of Community Award for her work with New Community for Children in DC.
In 2016, Vic launched VJ In The Midday on MAJIC 102.3/92.7, where she became the #1 midday personality in the city and a trusted hometown voice for listeners across the DMV. In 2024, she transitioned to mornings with the debut of Vic Jagger In The Morning alongside Huggy Lowdown. Now, Vic has made her highly anticipated return to middays with VJ In The Midday—bringing her signature energy, authenticity, and connection back to the time slot where she shines.
Throughout her career, Vic has interviewed cultural icons like Mary J. Blige, Jay-Z, Taraji P. Henson, Keke Palmer, Snoop Dogg, LL Cool J, Kelly Rowland, and many more. Her impact goes beyond the mic—she’s moderated panels for the DC Office of Paid Family Leave, Xfinity’s Black Music Month, and Johns Hopkins Medicine. She has also hosted major events, including the first-ever Hip-Hop Block Party at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History & Culture and the Thurgood Marshall Awards Gala Red Carpet.
Some of her TV appearances include TV One’s NewsOne Now with Roland Martin, Unsung, Uncensored, The Beat Don’t Stop: The True Story of DC Culture & Go-Go, NBC4’s “The Tuesday Trend,” and FOX5DC’s Celebrity Dish and Lion Lunch Hour. She was honored as one of the “Leading Ladies of Radio” at the 25th Essence Festival. She continues to serve her community through donating and volunteering with organizations like SOME (So Others Might Eat), Martha’s Table, Calvary Women’s Services, and the Capital Area Food Bank.
A proud alumna of the University of the District of Columbia, Vic earned her Bachelor’s degree in Media Arts and is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
