Mary J. Blige’s hit “Real Love” from her 31-year-old debut album “What’s the 411?” is caught up in a copyright infringement lawsuit against Universal Music Group. Tuff City Records has filed the lawsuit alleging the song samples a 1972 funk song recorded by The Honey Drippers titled “Impeach the President”. They are seeking “actual damages plus profits from infringement.”

J. Cole - Dreamville Fest 2024 - Day 2

While J. Cole was on stage at Dreamville Festival in North Carolina he addressed his recent diss track “7 Minute Drill,” which calls out Kendrick Lamar for his lyrics Future and Metro Boomin’s song “Like That”. Lamar rapped the lines “Motherf*** the big three, n***a, it’s just big me.” Cole apologized for putting out a diss track in retaliation on his latest project “Might Delete Later”. He said, “Man, that’s the lamest sh** I ever did in my life.” Cole also asked for forgiveness emphasizing love and forgiveness.

Katt Williams had to stop his show after a fight broke out in the stands at Indiana Farmers Coliseum in Indianapolis. Video taken during the show capturing fans near the fight rushing towards the exits. Katt remained silent on stage as the security deescalated the situation.
