André 3000 seems to be on a flute tour and folks across America are getting a free concert.
The celebrated rapper was first spotted in L.A. by NPR radio producer Antonia Cereijido. In a June 14 Twitter post, Cereijido said she saw a man walking around her terminal playing the flute for 40 minutes and eventually, she realized it was Three Stacks.
Twitter user @zliebbb also said he ran into André in in L.A., sharing the news with Pigeons & Planes on Twitter.
New York was blessed with André and his flute’s presence as well.
Now, folks across Philly seem to be getting the biggest taste of André’s woodwind serenades, and The Philadelphia Inquirer was courteous enough to document the sitings.

Dayna Allen clocked André on a flight back to Philly, tweeting, “Andre 3000 is on my flight! He came up to me playing the flute in the airport and being distracted, I swore it wasn’t him but now I see it really is him.”

Russ Jackson peeped the rapper sitting on some church steps on 13th Street in Philly. Jackson then strolled up to him and watched him play a solo. According to The Inquirer, Jackson asked André about the flute, and he told him that “he picked it up a couple of years ago and that he’s trying to get really good at it.” Jackson described André’s flute game as “A-1.”

Chandria Harris saw André at Whole Foods, where she’s an employee. Harris said she was surprised that he was completely alone “from the time I saw him at the juice bar, to the time he checked out.”

Twitter user @TazzyStar ran into André with a group of activists at the Netroots Nation political convention. “Me and a gang of Muslim activists were getting ice cream after dinner & chatting on sidewalk after the rain – good wholesome fun – when this guy was playing flute around us,” she wrote. “And who else plays flute in public wholesome spaces? ANDRE 3000.”

Alessandra Hankinson spotted André TWICE. First, in front of a Shake Shack on Friday, July 12, then she spotted him walking into Mitchell & Ness on Saturday where she worked.
When she spoke to The Inquirer, she said, “It seemed like no one recognized him … But I think he wants people to know he’s here.” She continued, “He had on the exact same attire as the day before — overalls and a black shirt.”
