A person in Sommerville, Mass sold a violin to a pawn shop. Sounds like regular standard stuff right? Except this violin happened to be worth $250,000. Turns out a new employee at the LBC Boutique and Loan in Somerville had no idea what he was buying when he paid for the Ferdinando Gagliano violin, which was handcrafted in 1759.

Police said the violin was stolen during a break-in and they’re still investigating.
