An internal investigation has been launched by the Los Angeles Police Department after body cam footage clearly shows an officer planting cocaine in a detained man’s wallet while place him under arrest.

When the officer turned on his body camera, the previous 30 seconds automatically saved and gave the arrested man’s attorney enough evidence needed to prove his client was innocent of cocaine charges.

Peep the video below and watch the foolishness unold:

Ronald Shields was pulled over and arrested after being suspected of a hit-and-run crash earlier. His attorney Steve Levine says if it weren’t for the 30 seconds advanced by the body camera, his client would be serving time for a crime he didn’t commit.

It’s sickening just to think how many times this has happened and there wasn’t any video proof.
