Details have emerged in the shooting death of 50-year-old Patrick Harmon at the hands of Salt Lake City policemen, and many are rightfully angry at what’s been discovered.
In the video, Harmon can be seen running away from officers who attempt to arrest him, which results in one officer firing a taser gun while another officer fires deadly bullets.
The Salt Lake Police Department initially released a statement claiming Harmon had threatened the officers with a knife. However, the video doesn’t paint the picture of officers who feared for their life.

With the ongoing protests in St. Louis over the death of 24-year-old Anthony Lamar Smith and NFL players keeping the conversation going by taking a knee, it’s high time for our nation to address issues involving unnecessary force by police officers on people of color.
