According to multiple media sources, one Virginia Missy Elliot fan has started a position to replace one confederate statue with a “Missy” statue. Nathan Coflin of Portsmouth, Virginia filed a petition with change.org to erect a “Missy” statue that will replace the town’s confederate monument.
Mr. Coflin states. ” Who better to encapsulate the culture and spirit of the city enshrined in a new monument than Grammy Award winning, rapper, dancer, and record producer Missy ‘Misdemeanor’ Elliot.”
