Mark and Tessa have been married for 8 years. He recently suggested they refinance their home and Tessa agreed. but after filling out the application Mark was surprised to learn they were denied credit because of Tessa’s credit score. Tessa confessed that she and several other relatives were victims of identity theft by her niece but they decided to give her time to take care of the delinquent accounts instead of pressing charges. The family decided to keep it private so Tessa never told Mark and now he feels Tessa picked her family over telling him the truth. Was Tessa wrong for keeping this from Mark or should he be more understanding of family matters?
