Uber Driver Alaric Spence, 46, reportedly picked up the victim on June 23, 2017 from downtown Los Angeles, California. During the ride, the 24-year-old victim fell unconscious, possibly due to intoxication, said LAPD Capt. William Hayes, the commanding officer of LAPD’s Robbery-Homicide Division.

After the victim was unresponsive, Spence allegedly drove to a motel room on Lankershim Boulevard, where he sexually assaulted her, and left, according to Hayes.

Hours later, the victim woke up in the motel room and had no recollection of where she was or how she got there. She immediately called police, who took Spence into custody that evening, said LAPD.  Read the disturbing details here.
