Russell Westbrook has a lot to smile about after being named the NBA’s 2016-17 MVP, beating out another finalist, James Harden of the Houston Rockets.

The 28-year-old All-Star point guard put up an NBA-best of 31.6 points, 10.7 rebounds and 10.4 assists each game, even after losing top scorer Kevin Durant to the Golden State Warriors due to free agency.

The always humble Westbrook thanked God before showing gratitude to the Oklahoma Thunder organization, down to the behind the scenes staff who helped him compete at his best.

Westbrook scored 69 out of 100 votes in the MVP category. Congratulations are in order!
