Comedian Mo’Nique says Tyler Perry was shocked to know how much Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, and other A-list black actresses were paid because it was nowhere near the $3-8 million Hollywood A-list actresses usually receive. Mo’Nique says she recalls Tyler saying, ‘I’m paying Taraji more than she’s ever made’ to which Mo’Nique replied, ‘but are you paying her fairly?’
