In a confusing turn of events, Akia Eggleston of Baltimore has vanished after missing a doctor’s appointment and her own baby shower.
The 22-year-old mother of a 2-year-old was supposed to attend her baby shower on May 7 but no one in her family has communicated with her since May 3.
After the family went to perform a wellness check at Eggleston’s apartment, they found that all of her personal items, except for her bed and several dressers, were moved out of the apartment.
The family is very concerned because Eggleston’s pregnancy is high-risk that requires a cesarean delivery but no one has been able to locate the missing mother.
