Jesse Owens competed in the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin.  Owens competed during a time of segregation and in country that believed in the “Aryan Racial Superiority.”  He won four gold medals.  His competition was fierce but it was his mindset that beat them all.  You see, he did set out to compete but it was really with himself.  Jesse Owens understood the key to winning a gold medal was to have a gold medal mentality.  Owens says “the only victory that counts is the one over yourself.”

You too can take home the gold and you don’t have to wait every four years to do it.  What do you want in life?  Is there a business, a degree, a personal goal you have set for yourself that you haven’t been able to quite obtain?  Don’t worry training begins today!  Know that overcoming your own inhibitions can be a challenge and you have to work at that every day but it can be done.  Start with small goals, write them out and make up your mind that you can do it.  Take action and train yourself to think positive every day.  Remember this is a race that starts with the mind and crossing the finish line is only a few feet away.
