Venus Williams in on a winning streak.

For the first time since 2009, five-time champion Venus has advanced to the Wimbledon semifinals, beating Kazakhstan’s Yaroslava Shvedova. At 36 years old, she is the oldest Grand Slam semifinalist in the past 22 years.

What she wore on the court almost stood out more than her game. Unlike many of her colleagues, Venus was donning her own line, Eleven by Venus. While Eleven focuses on tennis wear, it also makes performance clothing for women in yoga, fitness, dance, and running.

Could it be that Venus was motivated by the fibers of her own line to win? Possibly.

With an associates degree in fashion design, Venus is very hands-on with the design and production of her clothing line. You can order the tennis dress she wore at Wimbledon on her site.

Eleven means more than ten: one must strive to be the best they can, to go above the grain, everyday, just like Venus Williams.

Well, she was certainly performing at an “eleven” during the oldest tennis tournament in the world.

Given that her sister, Serena, is still in the semifinals, there is a chance at a Williams-Williams match. When asked about a potential game against her sister, Serena commented, “It will be great. Venus is such a tough opponent. I want her to win so bad — not in the final if I am there, but if I’m not, I do.”

Good luck to both sisters in the competition!
