He’s a good-looking chocolate cutie but he’s more than just a pretty face. Actor Lance Gross is starring in the new ABC series Crisis, a show about what happens when children of influential Washington parents are mysteriously kidnapped. Gross plays a new FBI agent who gets unknowingly caught up in the situation. Crisis premieres on Sunday, March 16 at 10 p.m.
He’s also working with Verizon on their Black History Month initiative the ”Potential of Us” campaign. That includes a series of live challenges that include donating wireless phones to benefit domestic violence victims and survivors, helping an elderly person with technology, and participating in a run/walk. If you can’t participate live, you can participate online as well.

“I’m just trying to lend a hand,” says Gross. “There have been four live challenges so we’ve been in the malls. We’re trying to bring back that it takes a village to raise a child mentality. One person can be successful but if you have a network behind you, you become powerful. So that’s what we’re doing. Everybody has a situation where they get a new phone and they have the old phone collecting dust somewhere probably under a couch. Why not bring that in and donate it. We’ll refurbish them and give them to people who need it?”
People can do the online challenges, take pictures and hashtag them with #potentialofus and post to social media. Keke Palmer, Regina Hall and Morris Chestnut are also part of the campaign.
