March On Washington
Today, the 1963 march was a triumph of hope and optimism, punctuated by Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have A Dream” speech. But in the moment, it was cause for caution and anxiety. A full week of events will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington.
