Good news! There will be no water shutoff in Maryland as we have been expecting. Yes we can all breathe a sigh of relief cause our water will still be on. Water authority officials said Wednesday that they have found a way to divert water around a very large water main that was able to end the threat that more than 100,000 people in southern Prince George’s County would go without water for several days.

Let me be the first to thank those men who figured it out. We need water!

“We have averted a major disaster,” Jerry Johnson, general manager of the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission, said at noon Wednesday. “We are back to nearly business as usual.”
