Jay-Z has always been on the cutting edge of music and, most recently, business but he has taken it to the stratosphere with his new deal with Samsung. Hova has teamed up with the technology company for the release of his new album, Magna Carta Holy Grail. The album is slated for release on July 4th and will be free for the first million Samsung Galaxy owners that download the app to get Magna Carta.
Last night, during the NBA Finals, Samsung and Jay-Z ran an amazing 3 minute commercial teaser that was more like a mini documentary. Featured in the commercial with Jay-Z were Swizz Beats, Timbaland, Pharrell, and Def Jam co-founder Rick Ruben. As the commercial so aptly stated, Jay-Z is writing the new rules!
