Halle Berry revealed to CNN that she and her finace, Olivier Matinez, are expecting their first child together: a boy.
The 46-year-old actress who is three months pregnant, also revealed her newest project, a philanthropic partnership with designer Micahel Kors to raise money for the U.N. World Food Programme. “I feel fantastic,” Berry told CNN’s Alina Cho.
“This has been the biggest surprise of my life, to tell you the truth. Thought I was kind of past the point where this could be a reality for me.”
The actress plans to use the publicity over the pregnancy to push the mission of the partnership which seeks to provide meals for children based off of watches sold by Kors. “”Especially now, being a pregnant woman and already having a child … it’s so important what happens to the baby while they’re in utero. And the first 1,000 days is fundamental,” she said to Cho.
