Russell Simmons Blasts Lowe’s For Pulling “American Muslim” Ads

Businessman and activist, Russell Simmons has criticized hardware company, Lowe’s for pulling their ads from the TLC show, “American Muslim.”

Lowes pulled the ads after receiving complaints about the show. “American Muslim” follows five Muslim families in Dearborn, Michigan.

Entertainment Weekly reports:

“This can’t happen in America; needs to fix this immediately,” Simmons said, calling the move Islamophobic. “They can’t get away with that, it’s ridiculous. There are American principals at stake here.

Russell Simmons’ RushCard Investigated For Hidden Fees

TALLAHASSEE — Russell Simmons’ RushCard, a pre-paid debit card targeted at urban working class people is being investigated by the Florida Attorney General’s Office over alleged hidden fees.

MyBankTracker reports:

The Florida Attorney General’s Office has issued subpoenas against five prepaid debit card companies claiming they may be forcing consumers to pay hidden fees each time they make a purchase.
