As a personal stylist, I am constantly in search of boutiques with unique offerings for my clients. My colleague and friend, Patty Gonzales, recently invited me to a private holiday shopping event at Sterling & Burke in Georgetown. I was immediately taken with the quaint, upscale leather goods store.
Hiding in plain sight on Pennsylvania Avenue—a few doors from The Four Seasons Hotel—Sterling & Burke is Georgetown’s best kept retail secret. The store has a warm, nostalgic feel and décor. A family owned and operated business, S&B carries unique English and American brands. From fragrances made for Winston Churchill to leather goods hand stitched by the Amish (in Pennsylvania), every product in the store has a back story. Shopping at Sterling & Burke is much more than retail therapy; it’s a cultural and historical adventure!
If you’re still searching for the perfect holiday gift for a cultured colleague or a significant other that has everything, Sterling & Burke is full of treasures that will leave a lasting impression. Enjoy photos of my favorite items in the store.
(A very special thanks to Stephanie and Alexandra of Sterling & Burke for the warm welcome and to Patty Gonzales for the invitation. It was a pleasure meeting Grant Harris of Image Granted.)
