I remember hearing Nina Simone’s music in my house growing up. Maybe it had something to do with her being from North Carolina, the state both my parents were born in. May have been that she was just really talented. Her story is very interesting and will now be told without the singing voice of Mary J, but Zoe Saldana? Hmm…
