(Grand Prairie, TX)  —  More than one-third of American workers are stressed, mostly because of low pay.  A survey by the American Psychological Association finds 36-percent of workers experience work stress regularly.  Spokesman Dr. David Ballard says stressed employees were happy just to have a job during the recession.  But now that the economy is improving, they’re looking for greener pastures.  Two-thirds of working Americans say their employers made some kind of cut over the past couple of years, whether it be layoffs, pay and benefits cuts, or hiring freezes.  He say those cuts have been restored in less than half of the cases.
