Summer rolls on for another week and the last few artists in our summer series are still coming.  Tonight it’s the man who could have been leader of The Time.  Ever wonder what that may have sounded?  This one might be close and unites Alex and Cherelle for the first time.

If you’re old school, you know that before they called him Uncle Charlie, Charlie Wilson was the lead vocalist for the Gap Band.  Tonight, it’s a sample of both.  Until then, check out a young Charlie with his brothers in the Gap Band.

Blu Cantrell had a song in 2001 called “Hit Em Up Style”.    Apparently she snapped ala Martin Lawrence early this morning in Santa Monica.  TMZ.com says Blu was running through the streets, ranting about people trying to kill her.  Check out this developing story and the video to her 2001 hit here.

While Labor Day marks the unofficial end to summer, I’m going by the calendar.  There are more hot days and artists to get to before fall arrives later this month.  Get ready for the S.O.S Band tonight.  Until then, check out this 1984 video.
