Investigators say a 26-year-old salesman from the Pumppers Trust-Mrs. Clean Pump-it-Off Company out of South Carolina sexually
assaulted a 14-year-old Franconia girl in her home Monday.
Detectives say the girl let him in the house on Plaskett Forest Lane when he asked to use the bathroom.
Neighbors say teams of two and three men were spotted all over the neighborhood.
“It was kind of sketchy,” Corinne Conner said about the two men who came to her house. “While I was entertaining one of them at the front door, another was looking over my back fence. And my friend’s son, who was working out there, saw him. When they kept trying to get in the house, I got nervous and said, ‘no thank you’.”
Another neighbor says the men tried to sell him some cleaning products, and when he asked to see the solicitor’s license the county requires, they didn’t have it. He called police.
By the time police arrived, the teenager had already been assaulted. They swarmed the neighborhood with K-9 teams, and they put up their chopper.
Officers pulled over a car with nine people inside that matched a description from neighbors.
