WASHINGTON – Councilmember Marion Barry was admitted to Howard University Hospital early Tuesday morning after suffering from dehydration.
He is expected to be hospitalized for a few days.
In February, Barry underwent a successful kidney transplant from which his doctors say he continues to recover.

(October 6, 2009) Councilmember Barry was admitted to Howard University early this morning after suffering from dehydration. According to Dr. Clive Callendar, Mr. Barry continues to recover successfully just 7 months after undergoing a kidney transplant on February 20, 2009. He is expected to be hospitalized for a few days.
