As the summer comes to an end, get ready for what promises to be another hit from BET: “The Bobby Brown Story.” The biopic airs September 4th and 5th.
The two-night TV event will tap into the controversial narrative of the group’s infamous headliner Bobby Brown.
Woody McClain reprises the role of Brown from the “New Edition” telepic. The actor will appear alongside the likes of Gabrielle Dennis (who’ll play Whitney Houston), Mekhi Phifer, Laz Alonso, and Lance Gross.
The biopic promises an unfiltered insight into the highs, lows, and redemption of R&B’s most-notorious bad boy.
All corners of his story will be explored. Hence, viewers will bear witness to his solo run, rollercoaster relationship with Whitney, and his battles with substance abuse.
