Award-winning actress Viola Davis spoke about feeling underpaid and undervalued throughout extensive 30-year career during a recent interview. According to People, Viola Davis says that her career is comparable to Meryl Streep, Julianne Moore, Sigourney Weaver because they all came out of Yale, Juilliard, NYU, and pretty much had the same path. Yet, she is nowhere close to them when it comes to money and job opportunities. I love that she says – “People say, ‘You’re a black Meryl Streep … We love you. There is no one like you.” She’s like – “OK, then if there’s no one like me, pay me what I’m worth.”
