Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D-CA) is being honored by the National A. Philip Randolph Pullman Porter Museum next month in Chicago. She will receive this year’s Gentle Warrior Award. Other honorees include actor-producer-director Robert Townsend, and Illinois State Representative LaShawn K. Ford.
The NAPRPP Museum was designated a national park site by President Obama on February 19, 2015. This year, the museum will be celebrating its 23rd anniversary.
