Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson was sent back to the United States on Thursday after trying to enter Chile to participate in a TV promotional event.

Once Tyson arrived, the Chilean equivalent of the FBI said he did not meet the country’s requirement for entry due to his criminal history.

Over 20 years ago Tyson did a prison bid for raping a pageant contestant. He was also charged with assault and cocaine possession. This isn’t the first time Tyson was turned around after traveling abroad. He denied entry into Great Britain in 2013 and had to scrap his promotional appearances.

Does this sort of thing happen to regular everyday people who travel abroad or is it because Mike Tyson is well known to have a troubled past, he’s an easy target?
