Sources say execs at ABC are upset because Michael Strahan would not cut his vacation short to return and cover Hurricane Harvey disaster. Michael Strahan (who is a Houston native) is reportedly on a yacht in Greece and ABC staffers are said to be in disbelief that he didn’t come back. However, a senior executive producer of “GMA” tells Page Six that he spoke to Michael Strahan every day and decided it would be best for him to lead with covering the hurricane recovery efforts. Meanwhile, Michael Strahan’s reps insist that ABC did not ask him to come back from vacation.
