Fredrick Demond Scott, a 22-year-old, is suspected of killing 5 white men in Missouri over the course of a year along a hiking trail.
After shooting and killing his last victim, police were able to find DNA evidence linking Scott to the killing and later to 2 others. All together a total of 5 men were killed in the same setting, leading police to suspect him of 2 additional deaths.
Scott’s mother said he refused to get treatment for paranoid schizophrenia, and although the motive isn’t confirmed, police think he purposely targeted only older white men.
